JAEGER-LECOULTRE.

Since opening their first small watchmaking workshop in the Swiss mountains in 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre has become one of the world’s greatest watchmakers. They have designed and developed over 1,000 different watch movements and counts, including the most precise measuring tool in 1844, and the world’s smallest calibre.

The Brief

Jaeger-LeCoultre approached Firefly to create the artwork and oversee the print production management of a large vinyl, to feature in the window of the Edinburgh branch of Laing’s.

The Creative Outcome

Before commencing with the design, we visited Laing’s to scope out requirements and take measurements.

Central to the design is the use of clear, crisp hero photography, showcasing the central product against a plain black background. The imagery is complimented by bold, impactful typography, which highlights the all-important strapline, whilst ensuring legibility on the bustling high street. The advertising simultaneously compliments Laing’s window display and stands out, helping to engage and resonate with Jaeger-LeCoultre’s target audience.

Finally, we oversaw the print production management of the project, working with our trusted network of printers to ensure the final window vinyl was produced to the highest possible quality.
