Newhall Estate commissioned Firefly to complete a brand development project. This included a full search engine optimisation (SEO) audit on the existing website, a new website design built using a WordPress content management system, copywriting and a brochure design.
The initial SEO audit helped to determine the most visited pages on Newhall Estate’s existing website and highlight opportunities for improvement. This process included keyword research, which informed the copywriting process. The copy we produced breaks down key information in a clear and easily digestible way, whilst reinforcing the beauty and rich history of the Estate.
Inspired by design elements in bridal magazines, the new website design positions Newhall Estate as a high-end, yet affordable venue. Image-led, the stunning, aspirational photographs speak for themselves, providing future brides and event planners with an authentic feel for the venue. We used a light and airy colour palette, reflecting the natural setting of the Estate and the muted tones visible in the photography. Moreover, a combination of classical serif and contemporary san serif typefaces and a well-balanced typographic hierarchy helps to emphasise key information, such as testimonials and call to actions.
The website provides an intuitive user experience, utilising clear navigation to guide visitors seamlessly around key pages and encourage them to take certain actions. Fully responsive across desktop, mobile and tablet devices, the website is built to ensure both the user experience and design are never compromised.
Finally, we designed a contemporary brochure in landscape format. The brochure reflects the premium nature of the venue and mimics the considered balance of photography, colour palette and typography visible on the website. The brochure offers a tactile way to engage and resonate with Newhall Estate’s target audience, whilst the consistency across communications contributes to a strong brand identity.
