A registered charity, the Scottish Bible Society aims to ensure that all people can access the Bible in a language they understand, in a format they can use and at an affordable price.
The Scottish Bible Society approached Firefly to redesign their biannual magazine, which is delivered to a circulation of approximately 40,000 people. The aim of this redesign was to engage a younger demographic, whilst remaining relatable to their current core supporters.
Renamed ‘Transform’, the publication was designed to be a coffee-table style magazine. We developed a clean and modern design, utilising white space paired with bold image-led spreads. The vibrant, high quality visuals feature throughout the magazine, helping to break up articles and key information to captivate the reader. Moreover, a well-balanced hierarchy of typography outlines the content clearly and succinctly, guiding the reader seamlessly through the publication.
Upon approval, we supplied an InDesign template, allowing the Scottish Bible Society to easily compile future editions themselves and reduce future design costs. The template ensures all subsequent editions follow the newly established design and retain brand consistency.
