The Edinburgh Clinic is a private day-case hospital which offers quick access for outpatient consultation, on-site diagnostic imaging and day-case surgical treatment.

The Brief
Firefly was commissioned to develop The Edinburgh Clinic’s branding to reinforce their position as one of Scotland’s leading private day-case hospitals. The new brand was to be rolled out across print communications, including leaflets, brochures and consultant directories.
We also created a transport advertising campaign to be displayed across buses in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

The Creative Outcome
A key consideration throughout the design process was ensuring that the brands core messages were communicated in a professional, yet friendly way across all touch points.
In addition to creating various patient-facing leaflets and brochures, one of the larger projects we designed was a 42-page spiral bound consultant directory, which was distributed to doctors’ surgeries throughout Scotland.
We used a vibrant colour palette and clean, modern typography across all print communications, reinforcing the accessible, approachable and reliable nature of the brand. Moreover, we carefully considered the use of white space and typographic hierarchy to help guide readers and communicate key information in a clear and easily digestible way.
Displayed on buses, the transport advertising campaign allowed us to work strategically to reach a broad audience across a targeted area. We created playful and compelling straplines which focused on The Edinburgh Clinic’s pain management and varicose veins services. A simplistic composition and bright, eye catching colour palette help to ensure the campaign stands out in any environment, capturing the attention of the brands target audience.
