Their travel concierge service brings passionate skiers closer to Europe’s hidden mountain gems. With carefully crafted trips for those who want to ski where the locals ski and stay in family-run chalets, OTBP allows skiers to experience true alpine hospitality far from the crowds, but close to the heart of the mountains.

Off The Beaten Piste commissioned Firefly to undertake a branding project aimed at setting their ski travel concierge service apart, embracing a return to authentic skiing experiences. The project included the design of a new logo as part of a cohesive brand identity. The brand was then extended across a full realised Wix website, a 50-second motion graphics video, and comprehensive brand guidelines.

We began the project by developing the logo and brand identity. The logo marque concept was based on the concept of a remote chalet tucked away in the mountains, evoking a sense of tranquility. Applying a irregular linear effect, the logo marque responded to the brand’s authenticity while complementing the rugged details of the logotype.

Off The Beaten Piste’s colour palette was formed from the cooler shades associated with The Alps offset by the warmer tones linking to the ‘Après-ski’ ritual. A deep berry, contrasted with glacial blue and powdery off-white contributes to a unique aesthetic that carefully combines the comfort of the ski chalet with the freshness of untouched slopes. This forms a strong base for communications to feature aspirational imagery and footage of the entire ski holiday experience.
We created a 50-second teaser video to engage with the target audience and clearly communicate the brand’s unique offering. We began by studying Off the Beaten Piste’s key messages and values to form a succinct script, followed by the creation of a storyboard which utilised motion graphic techniques combined with a range of impactful footage to inspire and connect with the viewer.

For the new Off The Beaten Piste website, it was essential to convey their story with an opening message signed off by the founders to bring a personal touch to their site and show that there are real people behind the brand. The website was designed and built with Wix, making full use of the platform’s capabilities to deliver a polished and engaging digital presence. With meticulous attention to detail, we crafted small visual elements to subtly reinforce the brand and create a website that felt distinctive to Off The Beaten Piste.
