Designer Vacancy
This is a work-from-home role for a UK-based resident.
We’re looking for a talented and proactive Designer to join our team on a part-time basis, three or four days a week.
The successful candidate will have at least two years of agency experience, be comfortable working on digital projects and designing for print, and have a strong desire to expand their skill set.
You should be capable of managing a project from brief through to final artwork, handling all stages in between. With a keen eye for detail and creative flair, you’ll be enthusiastic, organised, and committed to maintaining a consistently high standard of work.
The role is open to graduates with a minimum of an HND in Graphic Design (or a similarly titled course i.e. Visual Communication). Ideally, you’ll be based near our Edinburgh office or willing to relocate.
Please note that candidates with qualification in subjects other than Graphic Design i.e. Architecture, Game Design or Product Design, will not be considered for this role.
Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 pro rata, dependent on experience

In good company
We’re looking for someone who isn’t just a great designer but also a team player who will contribute to our company culture. You’ll be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and be confident presenting your work.
A strong working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop is essential, and experience in Adobe XD would be preferable. If you have any experience with After Effects, that would also be a bonus.
Perks of the job
- Work from home: Having moved from an office-based team to working solely from home you’ll benefit from a better work-life balance without the need to commute to an office.
- Take a break: extra holidays for every year you’re with us.
- Never stop learning: receive hands-on experience, ongoing support, and guidance from our Founder & Creative Director, whilst collaborating with the rest of our team and clients. Also, benefit from dedicated time each week to self-initiated learning.
- Work hard, play hard: receive time back in lieu as additional holiday, for any agreed overtime you do. Overtime is a rarity at Firefly but where it does occur we feel you should be rewarded for it.
- Protect the planet: join us for annual tree planting and regular litter picks to clean up our local area.
…and more!
