Megan Purves
Account & Content Executive
Covering client account management, as well as supporting creative work across multiple disciplines, Megan propels projects forward to meet our clients’ vision.
Background
Megan studied Fashion Communication at University, a highly creative and multi-disciplinary course covering everything from public relations and trend forecasting to fashion show concepts and publication design. Having worked in the fashion industry for a number of years, in London, Tokyo and Shanghai, Megan returned to her native Scotland a few years ago to embark on a new adventure.
Megan has since worked in the luxury homeware sector, gaining experience in e-commerce, B2B sales, and wholesale distribution, as well as content marketing experience in the FinTech industry. Megan has acquired a wide scope of adaptable expertise, looking after a diverse range of client accounts and projects.
Role at Firefly
Joining Firefly in 2023, Megan enjoys working with clients and our creative team to take a project from briefing to output, delivering high-quality content that meets the needs of our clients’ objectives and vision. Conscientious as well as creative, Megan ensures projects run smoothly and sharply.
On the creative side of things, Megan is responsible for producing compelling copy for clients and our journal, where we keep up to date with industry news and trends. Additionally, she manages Firefly’s social media platforms, where she showcases our portfolio of work and shares company updates. Her love for branding enables her to bring an astute and creative approach to client storytelling and campaigns.
Personal interests
Outside of Firefly, a perfect weekend for Megan would include visiting an art exhibition, followed by a pit stop for some Japanese cuisine, and ending the evening at the theatre or jazz club.
With a keen interest in interior design, if Megan isn’t on the lookout for hidden treasures to re-work, she can be found up in the highlands breathing in some fresh air and kayaking on one of the many lochs.
Environmental action
Conscious of the human impact on the environment, Megan enjoys joining Firefly’s efforts to plant trees with the Borders Forest Trust and clean up the local area with the Water of Leith Conservation Trust.
Megan tries to be an avid follower of the three R’s; reduce, reuse, and recycle. A trusty refillable water bottle will always be in tow.
