The Brief
RBA commissioned Firefly to design a suite of software templates across Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Adobe InDesign. The scope included presentation decks, reports, stationery and HR document templates, a brochure and adaptable project maps.
RBA required the templates to be developed for use across internal and external communications, ensuring a consistent application of the brand while offering efficiency gains in the production of future communications.

The Creative Outcome
Professional and modern, the templates encapsulate the identity of RBA and provide its team with the ability to easily create future communications. We utilised white space to create a clean and uncluttered aesthetic, whilst incorporating graphic devices to balance compositions.
We created a blue square grid pattern that complemented the RBA logo and was applied across the templates to build depth in brand communications.
A clear typographical hierarchy was carefully crafted to lead a reader’s eye through communications, and these were set as type and bullet styles for consistent application.
The InDesign brochure template offers a range of custom layouts that house impactful project photography alongside key information in a minimal, refined layout. We designed an organisational chart compiled from easily editable table structures to simplify future updates.
We also developed adaptable project and office location maps, enabling RBA to add future projects and offices with ease.
The Microsoft Word templates were developed with easily accessible type styles, a comprehensive set of numbering and bullet options, and table styles that clearly define information hierarchy. We created an adaptable front cover, allowing users to choose between a photographic or graphical style, and a bespoke back cover. In addition, letterheads with continuation paper for each international office were produced.
A bespoke PowerPoint presentation template was developed to showcase technical drawings and key project information. Several master slide templates were designed to facilitate flexible and efficient editing with theme colours and fonts preset.
To conclude the project, user notes were produced detailing accessible guidance on the installation and use of the templates.
