The Brief
Okana commissioned Firefly to create a suite of Microsoft Word templates. This included bespoke templates for a standard report, short-form report and a simple agenda document. Each of these were to be designed in line with their existing brand whilst ensuring the templates are clean and functional.
The Creative Outcome
We carefully considered the requirements for each document type to ensure we created a suite of Microsoft Word templates that were both professional and user-friendly. Building on the brand’s existing fonts, we established a clear typographical hierarchy that was set as defined type styles for easy application. We also integrated table styles and a colour palette into the template, ensuring users can consistently apply information.
For their standard report, Okana requested a simplified, print-friendly version of the front cover. We maintained strong visual consistency by closely linking both versions in layout and composition, an approach we applied across all three templates. For the short-form report, elements from the standard report were reinterpreted in a more restrained way, reinforcing the brand while ensuring clarity and ease of use.
As part of the project, Okana was provided with comprehensive user notes to advise the team on how to install and use the templates. We also carried out an in-depth training session to guide Okana on best practices for using their templates and tips on Microsoft Word functionality.
