The Brief
Orbital commissioned Firefly to develop a series of editable PowerPoint infographics which could be used within presentations and taken further into large-scale printed posters for their offices.
The purpose of these infographics was to inform the viewer of how their turbines work while highlighting the opportunities for sustainability and growth within local communities.

The Creative Outcome
As we were dealing with a relatively new technology, it was of utmost importance that these infographics were easy to understand. We created bespoke illustrations of the turbines during their various stages of operation and accompanied these with concise labelling and arrows to represent tidal movement.
During the design process, we carefully considered the limitations of Microsoft PowerPoint and how we might make the most of what the software is capable of. By adhering to a grid layout and a consistent header structure across the entire series of infographics, we were able to accurately build our visuals into PowerPoint.
To help break up each key point, we introduced an icon suite to bring further visual interest to the information presented. Many of these were custom-made and adhered to Orbital’s brand colours so that they could be used across a variety of channels in the future.
