Following a recommendation, Watch Collectors approached Firefly for a rebranding project, which included the design of a new logo and website. The website design was to take inspiration from the company’s existing website structure but reskin the user interface to reflect the premium nature of the brand.
After engaging in thorough research of the market and sector, it was clear that the Watch Collectors brand did not align with the quality of the products. This resulted in significant brand development.
The company’s original logo was designed whilst they traded under the name Astrolabium. The logo marque was therefore based on an astrolabe; an elaborate inclinometer, which historically, was used by astronomers, navigators and astrologers. The modern, linear logo we developed distils the ethos and values of the brand, alluding to their expert craftsmanship, whilst conveying their authority in the market.
The website design prioritises a cleaner, image-led aesthetic, whilst retaining the structure of the existing site. The clean typeface and use of typographic hierarchy help to highlight key information about the brand and products. We used a refined, yet striking colour palette, which included contrasting white and deep blue backgrounds, creating a premium look and feel across the website. Moreover, we incorporated eye catching imagery to truly showcase the quality of the products and engage visitors.
The strong brand identity we developed helped to simultaneously create a rapport with existing customers and tap into a new target audience, building brand awareness.
